DIYSEO

This is an interesting site. DIYSEO (or Do it yourself search engine optimization) is a new service that helps web site owners improve their rankings in search engines. It was built by SEO veterans and walks you through a step by step process to improve your search engine rankings. I signed up for a free trial and was impressed. The UI is very well done, intuitive, clean and easy to follow with tips along the way. Improving your search engine rankings is one of the most important things you can do as a web site owner and typical SEO firms will charge thousands. These guys charge a monthly $49 fee. I’d like to see a model from them that was a one time set-up fee for $49 per site and then some smaller amount on a month by month basis. While SEO is an ongoing mission for any site, it is not something I want to dig into every month but I would like access to their reports and well $49 was certainly fair to walk me through the wizard I don’t think I would continue to pay that monthly. However, it is 1 click to cancel any time but that closes the account rather than shutting off some of the services. Overall though, I was impressed, just wonder if the pricing model is the right one for smaller sites.
